Rob Santoro

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me. I am an energetic person who probably has interests in too many things but wants to experience as much as I can on my trips around the sun.

I enjoy travel and photography. I have been fortunate thus far in my career that I have been able to travel for work, including the opportunity to live abroad for a short time.

For 17 years I’ve worked for an engineering services company and have been able to participate in the transformation of that company from a small, 10 man operation, to being acquired by a large blue-chip company. I’ve had roles from technical to Vice Presidents.

For the past 2 years, I’ve been having a blast in my own little startup, focusing on solving the challenge small businesses face with far too many online tools that don’t talk to each other and then missing valuable insights needed to confidently run their business

About Me

You Miss All The Shots You Don’t Take

I was born in Clara Maass Hospital in Belleville, New Jersey, and raised in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Stuck somewhere between the hustle and bustle of New York City and the backwoods of the Pocono Mountains, I feel at home in either environment; big city or small town.

I moved to Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in 1999 to pursue a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and haven’t left since.

I have nearly 20 years of professional experience. 17 years or so of that has been in the energy industry, specifically Nuclear Power, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I love to see new, clean energy technologies being developed and hope to be part of enabling a green future. I love the idea of next-generation nuclear, as well as hydrogen power sources.

For the last 2 years, I’ve been working on my own little startup called Dization, aiming to help small businesses leverage their data to turn it into useful insights while at the same time allowing them to focus on their business (and not having to be an IT expert). It’s been a fun journey so far.

Dization

Small businesses tend to struggle with collecting data and analyzing that data efficiently to make informed decisions. Small business owners spend hours in excel compiling and analyzing information to determine strategic next steps or don’t spend any time at all if they don’t have the skillset to do so. Dization is a platform to help small businesses collect and store relevant data and to help them turn that data into information. Click here for more information.
